Tournament & course management

VioGolf lets you manage all the courses used in your tournaments. Before creating a tournament you need at least one course with one set of tees configured.

Creating a tournament

VioGolf guides you step by step through setup.

1. Basic information

• Tournament name
• Main event name
• Start date
• Number of rounds (1–6)
• Players per team (1–5)

2. Courses & tees

• Number of tee boxes used per course (1–4)
• Course and tee assignments for each round — Round 1 takes a course and its tee boxes, Round 2 the same, and so on up to Round 6.

3. Event formats

Define the scoring format for each round individually.

4. Additional settings

• Percent handicap applied
• Individual medal play (net & gross)
• Individual skins (gross, net, 50% net)
• Individual junk

5. Secondary events (optional)

You can configure up to eight secondary events. Each one has:

• Start round
• Number of rounds
• Players per team
• Format per round

Tournament management is organised into these sections.

Overview

Displays all tournament parameters, settings and structure.

Players

Enter players into the tournament, including their handicap index and their entry into any optional individual games — skins, junk, and net/gross medal play. Players entered into the main event are then available to add to any secondary events you have configured.

Tee Box

• Arrange tee times based on main event teams.
• Set shotgun or conventional starts.
• Shotguns can have 0–3 groups starting on any hole.
• Conventional starts set the gap in minutes between times, including staggered minutes for alternating gaps.
• Tee time parameters can vary per round.
• Players can view each round's tee times ordered by time or by player name.

Scoring

• Hole-by-hole gross score entry.
• Players may enter scores for their own foursome.
• Administrators may enter scores for any player.
• Administrators may grant scoring permission to other VioGolf users, including people not playing in the tournament.

Results

Administrators configure purses and payout positions for all events. Standings are shown for the main event, each secondary event, individual rounds, skins, junk, and any configured payout structure.
